Kimberly Rynders | Founder & Lead Investigator
From a very young age, I have felt that there is more to this world than what we can see. My own experiences with the unexplained began early in life and sparked a curiosity that has stayed with me ever since.
Over the years, that curiosity grew into a passion for paranormal research and investigation.
I founded Beyond the Paranormal Veil Paranormal Investigations because I wanted to create a team focused on seeking answers through evidence, research, respect, and an open mind.
I believe intuition and spiritual awareness can have a place in paranormal investigation, but I also believe strongly in documenting what we experience and looking for logical explanations before labeling something paranormal.
For me, this isn't about fear or sensationalism. It's about understanding the unknown, respecting the history and spirits connected to each location, and helping others find answers to experiences they may not understand.
Shelley Woodard | Lead Historical Researcher
I was born and raised in Waco, Texas, surrounded by a rich history and stories that sparked my curiosity about the unexplained from an early age. I have always felt a deep spiritual connection to the paranormal and believed there is more to our world than what we can see or fully explain.
My Catholic faith has played an important role in shaping the way I approach paranormal work. Through faith-based study and training, I have developed experience with home cleansings, blessings, and spiritual protection, always approaching these situations with respect and responsibility.
As Lead Historical Researcher for Beyond the Paranormal Veil, I enjoy uncovering the history behind the locations we investigate. I believe understanding the people, events, and stories connected to a location is an important part of understanding the activity we may encounter there.
For me, paranormal investigation is about history, compassion, faith, and seeking a greater understanding of the unknown.
Lee Smith | Field Investigator
Paranormal investigation has been an important part of my life for many years. My interest in the unexplained eventually became something much greater when my father and I co-founded our own paranormal investigation group. Working alongside him gave me years of hands-on experience investigating reportedly haunted locations and learning how important patience, observation, and attention to detail are in this field.
Over the years, I have gained experience using a variety of paranormal investigation techniques and equipment while learning that every location—and every investigation—is different. I approach each case with an open mind while looking carefully at the evidence and considering possible natural explanations for what we experience.
Now, as a Field Investigator with Beyond the Paranormal Veil Paranormal Investigations, I am excited to bring my years of experience to the team and continue searching for answers to the unexplained.
For me, paranormal investigation is about more than capturing evidence. It's about the experiences, the history, the people involved, and continuing the search for what may exist beyond what we can see.
Chris Mayfield | Field Investigator
From an early age, I have been fascinated by the unknown. Experiences I couldn't easily explain sparked a lifelong curiosity about paranormal phenomena and eventually led me to begin investigating alongside a local paranormal team.
With over 15 years of experience in law enforcement and my current work as an investigator for a Sheriff's Office, I bring a disciplined, analytical, and evidence-based approach to paranormal investigation. My professional background has taught me to remain calm, examine the facts, document carefully, and avoid jumping to conclusions.
I strongly believe in attempting to debunk unexplained activity first by considering environmental, mechanical, and natural explanations before determining that something may be paranormal.
As a Field Investigator with Beyond the Paranormal Veil, I focus on evidence collection, audio and video review, EVP analysis, documentation, and witness interviews. I approach every investigation with professionalism, compassion, and respect—especially when working with families searching for answers.
For me, paranormal investigation is about separating fact from fear, uncovering the truth, and continuing to explore the mysteries that lie beyond the veil.
Alissa Mayfield | Junior Field Investigator
Growing up with a father involved in paranormal investigation sparked my own interest in the unexplained. I've always been curious about what may exist beyond what we can see and am excited to now have the opportunity to explore those questions through hands-on paranormal research.
As a Junior Field Investigator with Beyond the Paranormal Veil, I am continuing to learn from the experienced investigators around me while developing my own skills in evidence collection, observation, equipment use, and investigation techniques.
Following in my father's footsteps makes this journey especially meaningful to me. I approach each investigation with an open mind, respect, and a willingness to learn while gaining the experience necessary to grow as an investigator.
I'm excited to continue building my knowledge, strengthening my abilities, and discovering where this journey into the unexplained takes me.
Lindly Rynders | Junior Field Investigator
I have grown up surrounded by the paranormal and have had the unique opportunity to learn about paranormal investigation from a young age. Being the daughter of the founder of Beyond the Paranormal Veil Paranormal Investigations has allowed me to experience investigations firsthand and learn from experienced members of our team.
As a Junior Field Investigator, I enjoy being involved in investigations, helping with equipment, observing and documenting activity, and learning how to properly collect and evaluate evidence. With every investigation, I continue to become more confident in using our equipment and understanding the importance of patience, respect, and keeping an open mind.
One of the things I enjoy most is experiencing new locations and never knowing what an investigation may bring. I am especially interested in learning more about spirit communication and the different ways unexplained activity can present itself.
Paranormal investigating is something special that I get to share with my mom, and I'm excited to continue learning, gaining experience, and becoming a stronger investigator as I grow with our team.
